In early 2024, Embrace Uganda, International Teams Canada, FEAT Africa, Creekside Church, and Safe Water Social Ventures were together to see the commissioning of the new safe water project.
Project Launch Partner
International Teams Canada is a Christian charity with a mission to see vulnerable people move toward fullness of life characterized by dignity, justice, hope, and peace. One of their local partners in East Africa, Embrace Uganda, was eager to start a safe water project, and through the partnerships of Safe Water Social Ventures, FEAT Africa, and International Teams Canada, they were equipped to provide safe water to their community.
After the necessary training and a successful market assessment, in early 2024, the new safe water project team began producing and selling bio-sand filters to their surrounding community. Through partnership with International Teams Canada, we are continuing to stay connected and support the project in the southern area of Uganda.
The Embrace Uganda Safe Water team with the FEAT Africa Executive Director, sharing a milestone moment with their first independently produced bio-sand filter container for the new project, after receiving training from the FEAT Africa team. The new team demonstrated impressive aptitude in the learning process during training and in passionately implementing the start of this new work to be a blessing to their community.
